i always like to move my bottom bracket toward the truck just a hair to eliminate the angle the bag is at at full lift. Im thinking this is also what ed was referring to. looks good man keep it up

Well what we figured of doing was to mount the top bracket at about 95 degrees instead of 90 to get the bases of the bag a bit more square with each other when deflated. We're using just about the same methods as Steve from CanDo used on a project called the anti-hack. The pops is probably gonna have to make new upper brackets any fuckin ways cause the way the lowers are, i wont be able to use all three mounting bolts. Only two. Which i dont like. Not sure yet, got some thinking ahead.

I was pretty much asking what Nick Said , and what you confirmed.

You can get away with 2 bolts without issue. Hell I have seen some truck bracket with only 1 mounting bolt hole.

Alright, so some shit got real over the weekend. Saturday i rode with my dad to the shop to modify the arms so we can use all the mounting points on the bag. Simply cut out the straight section that was causing the issues and put a 30 degree bend in the new bar. And then pictures...
Before tacked or anything...

Big man threw down some welds

Welded up

Machining the bottom bracket

Moved the truck into the middle of the garage cause we need room to cut out the driver side shit.

Then whatever... Welded the bracket on after getting it where it needs to be.

MOCK SHIT

Everything fit right, nothing hit when we turned the wheel. And was pretty ace. So it was that time to finish welding up. Doesnt look amazing cause i didnt get in there and clean it up, fuck it.

Then ran out of welding wire for the mig, so pretty much ended it for the day. My dad will be taking the lowers to the shop and tig it all up. Thats pretty much that, let me know what you think.

Alright fuggers, heres some shit. So i was busy all week with school, im trying to get into DE(dual enrollment) so i have lots of school shit i do. But since its spring break and shit now, we should get some stuff done. Started spring break off with a fun party out in the woods. But while i was out this morning, my dad decided he didnt want to wait. And he started a little work. He welded in some gussets to the bag bracket in the front, finished welding it up, and started to cut into the cab...

Then i got home and then had to rip the dash out to start the tubes on the other side.

Then we started to cut the shit out of the other side... Then realized the pops left the pipe we needed to box it all off.
But thats it for today, tommorow we'll get crankin on the other side. Lemme know what you think.

Got some shit done today... Not much, but something. Started to notch the driver side, cut a little more of the firewall for the passenger side and so on and so forth.

Had a bit of negligence this morning, damn near cut my thumb off...

And the welds... i did, with my fucked up hand, so they look like dripping shit, so those wont be posted. :p

CA-CA-CA-CA- YEAH! Got some good work done today. Passenger side welds were oretty poopy. So i was up at about 9:20 this morning taking care of those. I also did some mock ups, and so other good stuff... So since the welds are cleaned up, i can show them.
Here they are, so shitty. The pipe was rusted and blah blah blah.

Started to clean it up, and all that good shit.

Got in there with a flap disk

Start of the mock up process

And on the passenger side the AC blower and all that shit was in the way, im not running AC anyways, so out it went. These are before it was yanked out.

WHASSUP NISSAN!

Door...

Fuck doors

And, the mess...

Rippin it out

Got the blower out, and jacked it up to see...

YAY!

BOO!

Took out the OEM firewall padding crap.

And some time here soon, the driver side tub will be cut out, and blah blah.
BUT... I got a surprise!!!!! A few money shots!
Stuck the hood on before i started the AC this morning, saved the best for last... So sexy!!

Wide angled lense FTW!

Alright... Pretty big update, BUT since photobucket is being a slut i have to wait till the 28th for the bandwidth to reset. Luckily, i have two accounts. So that means i can still upload shit. This is pretty a Vertical Obsessions only update until the 28th. So heres the deal. Yesterday, after got back from the beach, started workin on the yota.
Pretty muched stripped...

Started to cut out the driver side wheel well.

Jacked the wheel a bit

Positioned the lower bracket.

Tacked it all good and shit

WAIT! Whats this? An air line?

Sure is! We where able to rig up a little valve setup. Set the axle on the floor to get an idea of how low it might go. So the next few will be full lift and all that good shit.

A little hard to see, but it pretty much sits on the core support...
