No electronics going to engine if u are going Carb. Th350 is The easiest and cheapest transmission with vacuum w kickdown. Save yourself a headache and buy swap mounts and swap headers from jagsthatrun website. Keeping it cool is always a little chore depending upon bore timing etc. I can help u out alot along the way me and my buddy have done 4 total.

thank you very much man. im looking into the swap kits. if the th350 is going to be easier to install than a 700r4 im not opposed to goig that route. i kno i wouldnt have OD and i dont thnk it would be a huge deal. i dont highway drive much. i will def be in touch lol

for your situation, i think the 700r4 would be a better option but it might cost you a little more unless you can find a good deal.

Re: 350 in blazer.
Do you HAVE a lt1 ? ( keep opti spark in mind , if so )
If not you can find a much cheaper Edelbrock intake then that one and see the same result power wise.Prolly$100-$150 CHEAPER .
You could go with a simple MSD 6a/Or similar ignition and single wire distro an that would be pretty much it for swapping over , Besides the swap parts.

i dont have it yet. but its just a mater of going to get it. its a good price and has just been rebuilt and has built heads. im not 100% on going carb but i dont care for the opti. so idk yet. one way or another the goal is to get the lt1 in and running. i kno its do-able lol

Re: 350 in blazer.
all of my swaps have been carbed. honestly I prefer carb, ease of tuning etc. The 700R4 will require proper geometry of the TV cable etc. bowtieoverdrive offers the proper linkage etc for the 700r4 to only only shift properly but to have the correct fluid pressure. Also depending upon if u do electronic 700r4 or not will determine if u will need to wire anything for a torque converter lockup.

If it is in the budget , Efi LT1 is the way to go an you can always get rid of the opti down the road for caddy coil packs.

Re: 350 in blazer.
im pretty sure there is no electronic 700R4 its a 4L60e really a turbo 350 and a 700r4 are pretty much identical except for the od and all you need is a diff kickdown cable to make it work if you plan on taking decent trips with the truck i wouldnt even consider a turbo 350 unless you plan on runnin a tall set of gears in the rear end
