Re: 87 Toyota pickup
So here recently ive messed with the truck a lil... about 80% of the engine and tranny has been cleaned as best as i can, primered and painted gloss black(Yes with Hi-temp paint). I now have to pull the engine to get completely under it and clean, primer and paint the under side, than i can paint thje front half of the frame while the engine is out and the front of the frame and shjit will be ready to go back together. The rear link bars and wishbone are primered and waiting for me to get some paint and maybe another cheap lil spray gun and go to town. A little progress is better than none right? OH! And they opened a harbor freight about 10 minutes from my house, so balls to the wall on that shit!

Re: 87 Toyota pickup
So I do have an update, I know some know what has been done. But its alot of shit so here it goes... Fast forward a bit... The engine is now completely painted gloss black, with a feel aluminum block off plates on the block so there is a lil contrast. I have a GM one wire alternator bracket, still need to buy a nice alternator tho. I have new header and intake studs. Nearly the entire front end of the frame is now gloss black as well. I have ordered a new black valve cover with billet wire loom and other trinkets.i have the header already, and I have the correct block off plate for the intake manifold I have. Still alot more I need to do. I'll be buying all new steering components(centerlink, inner&outer tie rod ends etc). I'm also goin to have to get a fuel cell prolly a lil 8 or 10 gallon plastic one and pump and all that shit. Slowly but surely. It's coming along... Lol

Re: 87 Toyota pickup
So i figured out this pictures now.... ok here are some pictures...
First... The engine... This was when it was painted black on top and primered underneath...
Nice and smoooooth...
Than the engine completely painted black...
Here's the front of the frame painted black and stuff....
Than i got the frame on its side, and than flipped completely over to finish grinding the metal from the tranny xmember and to paint....
And i thought about what everyone said about needing some contrast to break up all the black... Sooooo... I found some rustoleum almuminum colored spray paint, figured id give it a shot on my GM one wire alt bracket and well... It came out oretty good.
Ive got more work done yesterday and today ill have more pictures up...
