Re: Curtis's 91 s10
Honestly, drag racing shouldnt have a difference in it,its not like your going to be running in the 9s with so much torque your front end will be leaving the ground lol. I never raced mine but i drove the piss out of it and never had an issue, but like I said my hood was meant for the factory latch and NEVER moved in a gust of wind,if a hood is wobbling with driving down the road its def not worth running lol. Oh and I always slammed my hood down too never had any cracking issues but we are also talking about s harwood hood.

Re: Curtis's 91 s10
its not the front end leaving the ground that im worried about its the wind resistance from the scoop facing forward i dont want the latch coming loose when im doin 100 plus bc there is so much air pushing against the scoops. idk ill prob pick it up and if i have any problems ill sell it

Re: Curtis's 91 s10
well ive been doin some thinkin im prob not even gonna bother with the hood ive got too much other stuff that i wanna do that i need the money for, im sellin one of the programmers i got from work. im droppin it off with the guy on sunday and im gettin $150 and most of it is probably goin towards my lowering stuff im supposed to be gettin my blocks and spindles tomorrow and ill prob order my bushings on sunday im also gonna replace my wheel bearings and wheel seals and paint my breaks gonna do the calipers red in the front and the drums black. then when i sell the other programer the money from that is goin towards my system fund since i spent it all on the lowering stuff

Re: Curtis's 91 s10
Sounds like a plan...i did some research and looks like alot of ppl use the pins just incase i guess black or stainless ones would look pretty good.

Re: Curtis's 91 s10
idk im just one of those ppl that will never have a fiberglass hood without pins. ill prob do black pins but i wanna do the oldschool style with the wires comin out of the grill. and being black they wont be super noticeable unless you get close to the truck. ive also been throwin around some paint ideas since the whole truck has gotta be done now.....
